‘Follow Your Dreams’, ‘Chase Your Dreams’, ‘Make Your Dreams Come True’, ‘Take up a Job You are Passionate About’, ‘Chase Your Passion Not Your Pension’, ‘Follow Your Passion that Will Lead You to Your Purpose’, – We have all grown reading these positive affirmations and quotes from successful people and have always dreamt to achieve our own individual dreams, and decided to care less if it pays less or in most cases pays nothing!

Imagine that you wish to be an Artist – a Creator of Timeless Art that is worth all your time in the world. But, can that be a sustainable plan? Will it help you survive? Will it pay your bills? Can it pay you enough so you can take care of your life and that of your family? Does your Passion for Art fuel your Life to stay Alive?

Most often than not, youngsters and students begin working on their passion while studying, some of them quit Education to pursue their Passion and a few succeed to make that Passion a way to earn a living. But can your Dream always help you succeed and give you a Successful, well-paying job that can also accelerate your Career?

If you Google “How Many Employees are unhappy with their Jobs”, you will probably get data on about 15% – 29% of them being “happy” or “satisfied” with their jobs. How many of us can proudly say without a grin that we enjoy every minute of work at work?

Peer pressure, parents choosing a forced profession for us, competition with our relatives and cousins, friends taking up similar jobs, industry that we hate but take up the job only because it pays well and many more could be various reasons as to why we become just “Employees” more than we become “Happy Workers” not toiling but joyously working hard! And this is one of the main causes of stress at work & Hypertension when overloaded with work, meetings, colleagues, team management, etc…

Visualise a perfect scenario of you choosing the profession you truly LOVE, and to top it all, it pays you handsomely well! A dream come true for most of us isn’t it? But in order to reach that level of ‘Job Satisfaction’, one ought to start small, begin humble, try out different jobs and gain that experience and knowledge whether a particular job and the industry is the right fit for your expertise and passion or not. Who knows, you might just seamlessly fall into the lap of that dream job you always had envisioned but didn’t possess the know-how to attain it.

We have had discussions with many colleagues and friends who have confessed that they started off on a new job because they had the financial or family pressure to start their career, but call it the beginner’s luck or good luck, they ended up in their dream job and have even completed 20 years in the same company or an industry or field they never thought would work for and had not even an ounce of confidence that this job would keep them happy and continue to drive their passion for years to come!
